Infrastructure VDI Architect Virtualization - Melbourne
My client is one of the 5 largest Consulting groups in the world, and across may large projects worldwide, with a client in Melbourne, for whom they need a senior capable Infrastructure Architect, to work on and be responsible for a Virtualization project for one of their big clients.
They are looking for a senior candidate with Virtualization knowledge.
He/She should be familiar with VMWare, Citrix Metaframe and storage architecture etc.
Mandatory Skills
· A technical thought leader for a leading edge implementation of a suite of ‘hot’ technologies
· ~ 12-15 years experience with reasonable experience leading technical teams.
· Someone who can fit into the company cultural environment, but also need that person to be relatively aggressive to push our team and the customers’ team as well
· A team leader who is willing to take ownership and responsibility
· Very good communicator and experienced working with teams across multiple geographies
· Must have worked in a large environment/customer with demonstrable experience of troubleshooting difficult technical issues
· Must have sound and demonstrated knowledge of virtualization technologies
· Sound knowledge of storage and network architecture
· Experience with virtualization with either VMWare and/or Citrix
· Must be Melbourne based and willing to travel overseas occasionally for 2-3 week periods
Highly Desirable Skills
- Experience with VDI technologies
- Expert level with Citrix Xen suite and VMWare ESX
- Experience with blade server technology
- Expertise in capacity management and incident management
This is well paid, and can be either a contract or a permanent role
